Deployed Technologies Unit

Rescue International’s Deployed Technologies Unit (DTU) specializes in providing top-tier communications and data support during disasters and major events. We assist NGOs, first responders, and government agencies by delivering access to FirstNet, LTE, satellite data, and portable communication systems, especially in areas where normal services are down or unavailable due to an incident.

With over 35 years of experience, DTU delivers reliable data, VoIP, RoIP, and POC PTT services, ensuring large-area network coverage for relief centers, command posts, FOBs, or base camp operations—no matter how remote or challenging the conditions. Our team has supported response efforts for major disasters, including 9/11 in New York City, and hurricanes such as Andrew, Opal, Katrina, Sandy, Ian, Helene and various major flood events. Additionally, we have provided base camp support for the Department of Homeland Security, CBP, ICE, and FEMA operations most recently during Hurricane Ian in 2022.

Our resources include deployable Starlink systems, mobile towers, analog and digital two-way radio systems and fully equipped command and communications trailers. We can also establish Wi-Fi networks and private LTE systems to cover large camps and operational areas.

DTU is equipped with deployable UHF and VHF interoperability, commercial radios and repeater systems, Were ready to support contractors and government operations during disasters or special events—always within our mission to enhance communications and recovery efforts.
